Dr. Vicky Scott receives award

The 2006 Patient Falls Research Award was given to Dr.Vicky Scott by the Florida Patient Safety Centre of the U.S.Department of Veterans Affairs. This annual award is in recognition of the past five years of falls prevention research conducted by BCIRPU through funding provided by the B.C.Ministry of Health, the Population Health Fund of Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada, B.C. Regional Health Authorities, and the Vancouver Foundation. The success of this research was made possible by the dedication the BCIRPU research team and research partners from across Canada and by the hard work and dedication to the health of older adults demonstrated by numerous front-line clinicians and health careadministrators in B.C. and across Canada. Way to go Vicky!
