The British Columbia Vision Zero in Road Safety Grant Program (the ‘Grant Program’) is proud to announce the recipients of its latest competition aimed at supporting vulnerable road user-focused initiatives in local communities. The funding will be used to implement low‐cost infrastructural improvements to roadways and to support other innovative policies and solutions that reduce the burden of injury for British Columbians on the road.
This year, 53 awards amounting to $866,657 were disbursed to communities across British Columbia (BC). Of the total awards, a record 22 were funded through Stream #2 of the Grant Program – to Indigenous-led and Indigenous-centered road safety projects.
