BCIRPU Postdoctoral fellow Dr. Michelle Bauer has been nominated to the Program and Institutes Looking to Launch Academic Researchers (PILLAR) program through the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute.
This two-year mentorship program provides new clinical scientists with the chance to improve their research skills and receive guidance from senior scientists. Dr. Bauer is one of three researchers to be welcomed into the program.
Dr. Bauer completed her PhD in 2021. Currently she is working on a few projects, including VOICES: Vancouver, to promote the voices of children in injury prevention; OsteoFit, a project to expand falls prevention programming for older adults in BC; and a project to explore the perspectives of trauma bay physicians on risk and child safety.
Congrats, Michelle!
