The Concussion Awareness Training Tool (CATT) for Workers and Workplaces is a program designed to provide workers and workplaces with the information they need to take an evidence-based approach in responding to and managing concussion.

Although concussions can occur anywhere, WorkSafeBC data show that the service industry (including healthcare, tourism, food services, etc.), has the highest number of reported concussions that result in time away from work, followed by trades and construction.

If your organization is in an industry where there is a high rate of workplace concussions, it is strongly recommended to mandate and promote CATT for Workers and Workplaces. It is useful for everyone to know how to prevent and immediately respond to a potential concussion-causing incident. Immediate recognition and response can significantly influence recovery.
